It's illegal to buy "unofficial" souvinirs at the Eiffel Tower, so of course I had to buy one off one of the horde of illegal-souvinir sellers at the base of the Tower. Half way thru the deal, le gendarme turn up to scare off the sellers, so the deal for this pretty wee thing was closed half on the run.
