When Lonely Planet named Wellington ‘coolest little capital in the world’, it was Errol Hunt that led Positively Wellington Tourism into Lonely Planet’s global publishing world and allowed us to maximize a game-changing opportunity for our city. We were fortunate indeed to leverage Errol’s considerable media and PR skills and contacts and that project remains one of the most productive working partnerships PWT has had the pleasure of being involved in. It’s obvious that Errol has built and led a team of global writers who respect and enjoy his leadership. There’s no-one better to condense an idea, take it out to the media and see it succeed. His ability to connect with ideas, experiences and people is genuinely special. I’ll personally miss Errol’s knowledge, integrity, effectiveness and ideas; he manages to mix being the complete media professional with spreading a little sunshine into a tough business.
